Jeep Wrangler/Wrangler Unlimited (JL) Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar & Baseplate Combo

Blue Ox Baseplates are custom-designed to be easy on your suspension and even easier on the eye, as they feature hidden mounting reinforcements bolted directly to the chassis. The vehicle-specific baseplate is integrated into the individual bumper design of the towed vehicle. When not towing, you can simply remove the tabs to make the baseplate virtually invisible to the casual observer.

Included in this Combo is the Blue Ox Wiring Kit BX8848 (Tail light wiring kit & diode kit) along with part number BX88206, a 7-way (RV side) to 6-way (towed vehicle side) coiled cable. No welding is required for installation, and all baseplates are backed by a three-year manufacturer warranty.

To protect your new tow bar and keep it looking great, we also include a custom-fit cover. Towed Vehicle Electrical, Brake System & Receiver, and Tow Bar Locks are sold separately.

It's important to consider your vehicle's towability. Blue Ox offers the above baseplate for your vehicle, but factors such as automatic transmission, 4-wheel drive, and others must be taken into account when determining if your vehicle is flat towable. Please consult your owner's manual and/or dealer to ensure your vehicle is compatible and to learn the correct towing procedures. Additional equipment like a transmission pump or driveshaft disconnect may be required, and these are sold separately. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in damage to the towed vehicle or personal injury.
